Pacific Resort Rarotonga Cook Islands is set in beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and boasts a prime location on Muri Beach. This medium size resort is undoubtedly the most relaxed and down-to-earth fully serviced resort in the Cook Islands. Facilities and services include restaurant and bar, fresh water swimming pool, scuba diving, windsurfing, snorkelling and other water activities.

Room Information

There are 8 Garden Studio units in this configuration and all are air-conditioned. They feature king size beds, kitchenettes (microwave, jug, toaster, electric pan), spacious lounge, and your choice of ground floor with patio or first floor with balcony
Garden Suites are studios style units with large bathrooms and living area. All rooms are on the ground level, are individually staggered and have a patio area with outdoor furniture. All rooms have a lovely view of the gardens or the natural creek that runs through the property. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a king sized bed or two king singles.
There are 13 Beach Front Suites with enviable beach location and feature air-conditioning, local TV, CD player, kitchenettes (microwave, jug, toaster, electric pan), king size beds, spacious lounge and your choice of ground floor with patio or first floor with balcony. All these units have direct access and fantastic views of Muri beach and lagoon
There are four, 2 bedroom Garden Villas available in this configuration. Each spacious Garden Villa has 2 bedrooms with private nauseates, all are air-conditioned, local TV and CD player, private laundry facilities, full kitchen and bar, separate lounge and private outdoor BBQ and dining area
The 2 bedroom lagoon villas are well appointed, occupy two-levels (master bedroom upstairs and second bedroom downstairs), have 2 bathrooms, local TV, CD player, private laundry facilities, full kitchen and bar, outdoor BBQ area and all rooms are air-conditioned. As well as great views you have easy access to Muri Beach
The 3 bedroom lagoon villa is well appointed, occupies two-levels (master bedroom upstairs and second / 3rd bedroom downstairs), has 2 bathrooms, local TV, CD player, private laundry facilities, full kitchen and bar, outdoor BBQ area and all rooms are air-conditioned. As well as great views you have easy access to Muri Beach.

Hotel Amenities

Pacific Resort is located in the heart of Muri Beach adjacent to the Sailing Club. The beach directly infront of the main resort area is of fine white sand and offers a good depth even at high tide. There is a channel fronting the villas where the beach narrows. The lagoon has a sandy bottom and is protected by two offshore islands making Muri Lagoon the premier swimming and watersports location on Rarotonga. There is an activities hut on the beachfront with kayaks, paddle boards, snorkelling gear and windsurfers. Lagoon cruises visit the offshore islets or you can paddle across the lagoon yourself.

On-site facilities include a freshwater but rather tired looking swimming pool, the Beach Bungalows Activities Centre with windsurfing and lunch cruises or snorkel cruise with BBQ lunch option.  There is car & bike hire, a tour desk, gift shop, DVD rental and laptops for hire, and a 24-hour reception.  There is also ‘Pacific Island Massage’ offering reflexology, pregnancy massage, ear-candling, and holistic therapies.

The beachfront Lagoon Terrace and ‘Barefoot Bar’ offer cocktails and happy hour, and the ‘Sandals Restaurant’ is open all day for lunch and dinner.  The menu is good and varied with light dishes under NZ$ 20 and grill dishes for an average of NZ$ 25.  Island Nights are put on twice weekly with dinner and entertainment in the price
